Mango Wood Turnings by Rick Frazier

Mango is a great wood for woodworking, and the tree produces succulent fruits. The wood is of medium to light color, with an open grain pattern somewhat reminiscent of certain varieties of Mahogany, but without the pinkish coloration.

Mango can be particularly beautiful after it spalts, which enhances the grain and adds interesting shapes and coloration.
